I was sitting at my desk and the phone rang.  It was one of my senior project team members!  He just got hired and is now at Boeing!  Cool.  I was like wow!  A bunch of people from the CS program at SU are here somewhere.  Also, I found out a couple days ago that another girl I know from SU is also working here, at Phantom Works.

Was finally able to find a ryokan that had space in Kyoto last night.  So, now we have plane tickets and lodging.  Now to find out about transportation.  It will either be train or subway, but I'm not sure if we need both or just one.

Anyone have any recommendations for places of interest in Japan in the Tokyo or Kyoto regions?

Yesterday I ordered my new laptop for work - a Dell Latitude 610.  Also ordered business cards.

Work is slow today.  Waiting to meet with someone at 2pm to discuss some stuff.  Anyone ever created a Wiki before?

Yay, I'm now enrolled in my health and insurance plans at work!

Last night I called Tokyo!  To make reservations at a ryokan.  It's so good and cheap it's crazy.  Now I have to figure out how to get tickets for the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto...  I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO JAPAN!!!

I'm going to Bellevue 24 Hour tonight.  Yay!

K short post, back to work.

Agh, I haven't had time to post.  So much stuff.  OK, so Friday evening Tom and I had dinner with Jenn and Tristan for Viet food.  Then we went and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  It was very strange, but entertaining.  I liked it.  The cranky grandpa was funny.  Saturday I went to the airport with Emily and Shirley to see Cheryl off to Japan.  We got to meet a bunch of the other JET people since they were all leaving at once from the airport.  Everyone seemed very nice!  Saturday afternoon Tom and I walked down to The Bite of Seattle at the center.  They had a buch of performances, entertainment, and of course lots of food.  Ended up getting dinner at this Cajun restaurant, cause I loveee jambalaya.  It was some of the best I've had.  We also watched part of a muay thai kickboxing demonstration and went to a comedy club there to listen to one of the comedians.  Good stuff.  Went back afterwards and rented 24 on DVD.  It's really good!  I kept hearing about it but had never seen it before.  But yeah, I'd like to continue watching the whole series.  It occurs in realtime which is pretty interesting.

Yesterday my family and I spent the day with one of my great aunts who was in town from San Jose.  She came over, then we went to late breakfast/lunch at the Alki Cafe on the beach which was really nice.  A couple of her friends she is staying with came too.  In the afternoon we went to the Seattle Art Museum, then walked around Pike Place Market.  In the evening we ate at Hiroshi's even though I was still full from that breakfast place.  But I still got my usualy spicy tuna roll.  =P
